And now the New Word has a home of its own.

An alternative to the Men's Fashion Forum for women. Women are definitely still welcome at the Fashion Forum, but this will provide a place to concentrate on women's clothing issues.

From the renowned shirts of Charvet, Matuozzo, and Kabbaz to the rare bespoke suits of Oxxford, Rubinacci, and Zegna, bespoke tailoring enjoys a minuscule, but worldwide, presence. Bespoke clothing is by far the smallest segment of the clothing business yet, without question, offers the greatest diversity and highest quality available on the planet. This forum exists for wearers of bespoke clothing. It is expected that members posting here will have knowledge of ... or questions specifically about ... bespoke clothing. Posting here is reserved for members who have attained more than 100 posts.

For those interested in dressing our children well and teaching them how to dress properly, this is a place to exchange opinions and knowledge regarding children's fashion. What should our kids be wearing? Where can the best values be found? How do we give our kids enough sensibility to know how to dress without encouraging snobbery? Although I don’t understand why every young man isn’t still dressed like Little Lord Fauntleroy! No photos will be allowed on this Forum and considering the potential delicacy the moderation may be more strict. Thanks for your cooperation.

A place for ladies and gentlemen to sit back in a plush leather club chair, with drink and cigar in hand and pleasantly discuss the great issues of the day that are not about clothes. Although I personally can't think of a single issue that isn't all about the clothes!

Britain has had perhaps more influence on menswear than any other country. We owe the British for khakis, button down collars, and corduroy trousers. Tattersalls came from the racing yard and auctions of James Tattersall, and jeans from the Huguenots who fled to England. These, a small neighborhood known as The Row, a tradition of weaving fine cloths and the Rules about what is proper are just a smattering of what Britain has brought to bear on the world's sartorial experience. Understanding the traditions and values of a culture helps us to understand its clothing style(s). The British forum is for discussions on Highland dress, Oxbridge traditions and other Britishness. Discussions about British merchants and makers, recommendations and availability of certain products and discussions of mainstream clothing such as business, casual, sporting, and evening wear should take place in the Fashion or Trad Forum.
