All About Chocolate
The often told story about chocolate would have tied Chocolate and Valentine’s Day together together perfectly. The myth is that Chocolate contains some of the same chemicals that the brain produces when you’re in love.
It is believed that the “valentine” was the first greeting card. Valentine’s Day is the second largest card sending and receiving day each year only surpassed by Christmas. One billion valentine cards are sent each year.
Every February 14 we celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving flowers, candy and cards to lovers or those we hope to love.
Even though Valentine’s Day falls on February 14, the feast day of several Christian martyrs named Valentine in the third century A.D., its customs probably began eight hundred years prior to the establishment of Valentine’s Day with a couple of Roman pagan celebrations.
